During World War II, the US Army’s only all-Black, all-women battalion is assigned a mission others see as impossible: clear a three-year backlog of undelivered mail meant for American soldiers. Facing discrimination and the strain of a war-torn country, 855 women work to sort more than 17 million pieces within six months.
