A college freshman receives a school-issued laptop and becomes fixated on its previous owner. As he searches through traces left behind on the device, he discovers she was a webcam model, and his curiosity turns into obsession. When he finds signs that her final online session may have ended in murder, the laptop pulls him deeper into a disturbing mystery.
