A Serbian mother and daughter arrive in Canada as refugees and try to build a life in an unfamiliar country. As newcomers, they face the daily pressures of starting over, from finding their footing in a new system to dealing with the emotional strain of displacement. Together, they struggle to navigate the obstacles that stand between them and a sense of stability.
